Laura Wegkamp produces award-winning, realistic paintings in watercolor and oil, with some of her most recent work featuring a combination of the two mediums. Although she paints a variety subjects, her passion is the human figure. Much of her artwork is inspired by a colorful and culturally diverse childhood, growing up partially in Central America and Europe. She completed her Bachelors of Fine Art Degree in April of 2007 at Brigham Young University Idaho. Her artwork has been juried into numerous regional, national, and international juried exhibitions, as well as four solo gallery shows. At age 19, Laura became the youngest Signature Member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society on record.
